Psychologist – Niddrie
Sarah is a registered psychologist and clinical registrar based out of Niddrie office. She has a strong passion for working with children, adolescents and adults. Her areas of interest and experience with children and adolescents includes Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning difficulties, behavioural issues, anxiety, depression, problem solving skills deficits, social skill concerns, grief and loss, anger management, school refusal and sleeping concerns. Sarah also works with adults presenting with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, self-esteem and parenting related concerns.
Sarah works predominately from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework and will draw from other evidence-based treatments as necessary. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Schema therapy, Interpersonal therapy, Solution-focused therapy and Motivational interviewing. Sarah works collaboratively with clients to develop a thorough understanding of their concerns, and will help them to implement strategies to improve their quality of life.
Sarah has gained experience in both the public and private sectors, which has included helping young adults and their families in an Early Psychosis Service, crisis assessment and case management with adults, and early intervention services for children with Autism spectrum disorders. Sarah has also worked as a school psychologist, and has spent time working privately with adults, children and adolescents.
Sarah works with clients under various Medicare schemes, TAC, WorkSafe, Comcare and other third party funding bodies. Private health insurance rebates may also be available to you.
Sarah is available at our Niddrie office, including after hours and weekends.
