Jennifer Politis - PsychologistJennifer Politis is a psychologist based at our Essendon and Tullamarine offices. She has a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology and is member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Jennifer has experience in the assessment and treatment of various mental health difficulties in children, adolescents and adults, including depression, anxiety, learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, ADHD and eating disorders & body image issues. She has a knowledgeable base and skill set in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness based therapeutic interventions. She has also delivered group mindfulness meditation sessions for staff and students in a university setting.

Jennifer provides comprehensive cognitive and psycho-educational assessments. Her experience working with the Royal Children’s Hospital – Centre for Community Child Health; School Function Program and the Department of Education has provided her with a strong understanding of how problems may present in the primary and secondary school settings. With a thorough skill set in cognitive and psycho- educational assessment, she works closely with children, parents, and schools, including teachers, and to support the social, emotional, and educational development of her clients.

Jennifer completed her Masters thesis with the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, where she explored the school functioning of adolescents with chronic fatigue syndrome. She understands the impact of illness on education and school engagement.

Jennifer can offer young clients a warm and supportive service grounded in evidence-based practice. She loves helping young people to overcome their challenges and to reach their true potential. Jennifer has experience in assessing and treating the following;

Jennifer works with clients under various Medicare schemes, TAC, WorkSafe, Comcare and other third party funding bodies. Private health insurance rebates may also be available to you.
